Congratulations to Constantine Evans who has won The Robert Dirks Molecular Programming Prize. The prize recognizes exceptional early-career achievement by a researcher working in any area of molecular programming, whether theory, experiment, computation, or a combination thereof.

Constantine accepted the award at the 22nd Annual Foundations of Nanoscience (FNANO) conference in Snowbird, Utah, 2025.

The award commemorates Robert Dirks, a young man who tragically died in a train crash in 2015. Robert contributed significantly to topics in our field, including several that our group works on in Maynooth. In particular, Robert worked with Niles Pierce at Caltech using mathematical principles to develop computational algorithms that enable researchers around the world to analyze and design nucleic acid molecules, devices, and systems.
